8. Pull the re a r wheel a ssembly
re a rw a rd.
NOTE: Never depress the rear
brake pedal with the rear wheel
removed. It is very difficult to force
the pads back into the caliper
assembly.
9. To repl a ce the wheel reverse
the complete sequence listed
a bove.
10.Adjust the drive ch a in sl a ck.
11.After inst a lling the wheel,
a pply the br a ke sever a l times
a nd then check th a t the wheel
rot a tes freely.
Re a r a xle nut tightening torque:
100 N·m (10.0 kgf-m, 72.5 lbf-ft)


and failure to torque bolt s and
nut s properly could lead to an

wheel, adju s t the drive chain

are not s ure of the proper
procedure, have your autho-
rized

ified mechanic do thi s .


after in s tallin g the wheel can
cau s e poor brakin g perfor-
mance and may re s ult in an
accident.
Before ridin g , “pump” the
brake pedal repeatedly until
brake pad
s are pre ss ed a g ain s t
the brake di s k s and proper
pedal s troke and firm feel are
re s tored. Al s o check that the
wheel rotate s freely.
