Step 1 - Remove Old Grease
1.
Using the manual move buttons on the front panel, raise the Z-stage
table to its highest point.
2.
Clean any collected debris off of the guide rods and lead screws
with a clean towel.
When cleaning the interior components, check for signs of wear like
metal shavings or debris inside the machine. Note any problems
found and contact Stratasys customer support.
3.
Clean or vacuum out any remaining debris
Step 2 - Apply Lubricant
1.
Apply lubricant to a clean towel or small brush.
2.
Wipe down each lead screw at points approximately 6” apart, working
the lubricant into the threads. Replenish the lubricant on the towel/
brush frequently.
3.
Use the manual move button on the FDM control panel to run the Z
stage up and down it’s full travel path several times to disperse
lubricant.
4.
Perform a final inspection of the machine interior, insuring that any
tools or supplies have been removed.
5.
Close the front door and return the model, support and envelope
temperatures to normal operating temperatures.
6.
Run a calibration box to assure that the machine is properly cali-
brated.
