4.6 ALS CHECK
The Cmax Surgical Table is equipped with the Auto
Limit Sensor (ALS) system. This system provides
instant user feedback on any conflicting tabletop
articulations. An ALS Warning on the Primary Hand
Control indicates the tabletop has been ordered into a
configuration or has moved into a position that may
cause tabletop damage or patient injury. To prevent a
tabletop sectional conflict, or collision of tabletop with
the table or floor, ALS System immediately stops the
movement in process and the ALS LED lights. The
control system may alert the user to an alternative
movement choice in the LCD Display.
NOTE: The ALS System suggested alternative
movement is not the only movement available.
Test the ALS system as follows:
1. Review and follow instructions presented in
supplied Operator Manual (P150830-685 behind
Operator Manual Tab
) and prepare the table for
operation.
2. Raise tabletop to highest position possible.
3. Select
SLIDE
via the Primary Hand Control and
move tabletop to HEAD end limit.
4. Select
LEG
via the Primary Hand Control and
cautiously lower until ALS Warning lights and
tabletop motion stops. If system does not engage,
stop tabletop movement before collision and correct
system.
NOTE: The table articulation ALS limits are modified
by version 1.47 software upgrade to prevent newer leg
section with larger leg section accessory mounts from
colliding with the table base or floor. This software
change now results in greater clearance for older
design leg section accessory mounts.
4.7 LEVEL CHECK
Check the Cmax Surgical Table tabletop LEVEL
function as follows:
1. Press
LEVEL
touch pad on Primary Hand Control.
NOTE: Ensure table is not in REVERSE
ORIENTATION.
2. When depressed, tabletop is gradually returned to
level or horizontal position by aligning tabletop
sections in following order:
a.
KIDNEY Elevator and lateral tilt.
b.
Trendelenburg and back.
c.
Leg and Slide.
NOTE: The LCD Display values change
accordingly.
3. Use a level and ensure tabletop is level. If not, adjust
per Service procedure.
4.8 AUXILIARY CONTROL CHECK
Check the Cmax Surgical Table Auxiliary Control
System as follows:
1. With tabletop at extreme low point, press
HEIGHT
UP
touch pad on Backup Hand Control and pump
pedal.
2. Ensure tabletop rises correctly. If not, correct per
Service procedure.
WARNING – PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD: To avoid
an action that could result in death or
serious injury to the patient and the
operating room staff and/or serious
equipment damage, completely evaluate
the feasibility of every Auto Limit Sensors
(ALS) System suggestion taking into
account the nature of the surgery and the
surgical environment.
