e. Using tabletop once again, center inner tube
within outer tube (see Figure 6-4) as viewed
looking down from top toward column.
f. Torque affected screws 4 + 0.5 N•m.
g. If lash is within specification, punch mark
thread of affected screws.
8. Tighten loose screws by approximately 30°.
9. If lash still exists, tighten loose screws another
10-20° and continue until either lash is within
specification or screws cannot be tightened further.
10. If screw(s) cannot be tightened further and lash
still exists, complete Step 7 .
6.6 TABLE ARTICULATION TIMES
NOTE: Only adjust articulation times if needed (e.g.,
measured time outside limits of table).
6.6.1 Measure Articulation Time
Check table articulations per times posted in Table 6-1 .
Use a stop watch and verify each articulation time.
NOTE: Articulation time is measured over the full range
of motion.
6.6.2 Adjust Articulation Time
Adjust articulation speed as follows (see Figure 6-6):
NOTE: Do NOT adjust:
1) Kidney Down screw - keep it at full open (CCW)
for maximum down speed. The kidney bridge
may need to be manually assisted going down.
2) Height Up screw - keep it at full open.
1. Remove six lower screws from table column plastic
cap (refer to Figure 7-1) and allow table column
cover to lower to base cover.
2. Engage floor locks.
3. Position tabletop to level, slide to center position.
4. Remove leg section.
5. Raise tabletop to near full height (ensure enough
room for full back down position).
6. Locate appropriate adjustment screw (Figure 6-6).
Turn screw fully CW (valve closed) and then back
out 1/4-turn.
7. Check articulation speed (see Table 6-1 ) and turn
screw CCW in increments to increase speed until
articulation time is within listed times.
