- The operator should never leave the cab while the machine is powered up.
- Follow the transit regulations and drive in the proper orientation of the road.
- Travel at posted speeds. Use caution on curves and on inclined terrain. Respect maximum
allowable speed limits: driving with an empty tank the max. speed should be up to 30km/h, and with
a full tank the max. speed should be up to16km/h.
- On uphill or downhill slopes use the 1st gear.
- While traveling, turn on all driving lights and emergency signals, especially under low visibility.
Should there be a high risk of an accident, travel with additional pilot vehicles.
- Use low beams when passing another vehicle.
- Use extreme caution when working in places where there are many obstacles such as trees,
rocks, holes, ditches and high power lines, etc.
- Ensure that there are no persons, animals or obstacles near the machine before moving it or when
opening or closing the booms.
Do not brake hard or abruptly, nor make any unsafe maneuvers, which may put persons, animals or
objects near the machine in a dangerous situation.
- Avoid quick accelerations or braking abruptly, because it may cause damage to the equipment.
- Use the horn as warning instrument, if necessary.
- Stop or park the equipment in an level and safe place, avoid sloping terrain.
- Before exiting the cab, position the joystick in the ¨ NEUTRAL¨ position, apply the hand brake, turn
off the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
- Wash-down the spraying system after each application, thus avoiding residue buildup.
- Wash the machine externally, this should be done in an appropriated place, where there will be no
risk of environmental contamination. Also, touch-up the paint as necessary, in order to contain
corrosion.
- After wash-down, keep the machine covered and in a dry and ventilated area.
- Do not store the machine in places where feed or any other types of food products are stored, or in
environments where fertilizers and agrochemicals are kept, which these may cause corrosion on
the machine parts.
- Apply lubricating oil on exposed metal parts.
- Do not apply any caustic solutions on plastic or rubber parts of the machine.
- At the end of the job, keep the machine in perfect working conditions for the next job.
1.3 - Safety precautions ( transporting the Hercules)
- When transporting the Hercules, it is mandatory that trucks or transporting equipment be able to
support the full weight of the machine, additionally
it must be done in accordance with the
requirements of the local transit authorities. Consult with those agencies for the special
care or procedures to be followed, required approvals or licenses, and approved routes
before transporting the machine.
- Station the machine in a way that no parts of machinery will protrude outside of the truck flatbed,
or carriage foot print.
- Block the wheels with stops, and secure the machine to the flatbed using chains to the body-frame.
- Secure the machine using the tires. Do not attach ropes or chains to the machine bodywork,
chassis or mast. This could cause damage to the components and the suspension. In doubt,
consult a transportation company.
