The battery capacity is 12 volts at 150Amps. It has sealed cells, offering better resistance to
vibrations of a long working day. It is maintenance-free, without the need of
refilling cells, and moreover, without the risk of contamination by corrosive
acids.
5.12 - Ladder
The ladder is opened/closed through an electric-hydraulic system of the parking brake;
when the parking brake is released, the ladder opens, and when it is pulled, the ladder closes.
5.13 - Pneumatic suspension (16)
The suspension is an active pneumatic system. It is supported by a air compressor which
maintains the pressure at an even level at all times. This is done via leveling valves: one on the front
axle(controlling 2 air balloons) and two in the rear axle(1 for each air balloon), thus creating a tripod
system, which allows for greater ground adherance and shock absorption.
