1 – SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1.1 - Safety precautions(machine and maintenance)
- In order to work with the machine and its equipment, the operator should be capable, duly trained
and must have read all the instructions contained in this manual.
- Always keep the machine in good working conditions, performing all required maintenance as
specified by the type, frequency of usage and the type of product application.
-Be attentive to the panel warning indicators. Should there be a fault indication, stop the machine,
identify and correct the problem immediately.
- It is recommended that the maintenance be performed by trained and capable professionals. The
engine should be turned off and the parking brake pulled.
-Whenever maintenance is performed, all safety equipment should be used, as indicated in section
1.2.
- Periodically check and change filters and lubricants, in order to obtain the maximum yield of the
engine and to prevent damage to its operation, making sure to only use filters and lubricants as
indicated in this manual.
- Periodically inspect and clean the radiator fins (only with air), in order to avoid the accumulation of
dust, leaves, seeds and etc. , which could cause the overheating of the engine and its failure.
- Maintain the following components, such as: hoses, connections, clamps, etc., in perfect working
conditions, thus avoiding leaks.
- Attention! Do not uncouple hydraulic hoses while under pressure! Use safety equipment, such as
gloves and protective eye-ware, also, take special care when performing maintenance on the
hydraulic system: injuries caused by toxic fluids must be immediately treated by a doctor, since it
can cause gangrene.
- While performing any maintenance or re-fueling the machine, do not smoke, and immediately
clean up any oil or fuel spills.
- Do not smoke or install any electrical equipment near flammable products, be it on the machine or
in storage.
- Be extra careful while performing equipment maintenance should need arise to start the engine.
Avoid working near moving parts, and be extra cautious when using loose or baggy clothing, and
long hair.
- Always use the appropriated tools for each specific type of maintenance. When working with items
such as the engine, nozzles, hydraulic components, etc. , maintain the working area clean, and
avoid using rags or other products which could leave residues, and may clog lines of various
operational systems.
- Maintain fuel tanks filled after the work has been completed, thus avoiding water condensation
built-up. Fuel contamination with water, may cause damage to the fuel pump and injector nozzles.
- The lack of appropriated maintenance, and the operation by untrained personnel, may cause
serious accidents, in addition damage to the equipment.
- Remove and isolate the battery cables, when welding any metal parts on the machine, thus
avoiding damage to the battery, or accidents.
- If in doubt, request technical assistance when performing maintenance.
- Maintain all adhesive decals and labels in perfect condition, replacing them as necessary,
but mainly, follow their instructions.
