Swashplate Mix
The Swashplate Mix typically corrects swashplate timing issues by mixing Aileron
to Elevator and Elevator to Aileron. When adjusted correctly, the Swashplate
causes the helicopter to roll and pitch accurately with minimal inter-reaction.
To access Swashplate Mix
With the C Mix screen displayed, rotate the roller to highlight Cyclic > Thro then
press. Select Swashplate and press the roller. The Swashplate Mix screen appears.
Assigning Swashplate Mix to a Flight Mode(s)
Rotate the roller to highlight the desired box at the bottom of the screen. Press the
roller to darken the box activating Swash Mix in that flight mode position. You can
highlight more than one flight mode position. If all boxes are highlighted, the C
Mix function is always on. If no boxes are highlighted, the function is always off.
N= Normal
1= Stunt 1
2= Stunt 2
H= Hold
M=Mix
Adjusting Swashplate Rates
Rotate the roller to highlight the desired rate then press. Rotate the roller to adjust
the value. You can reverse the direction of the slave channel with po and
negative – values. Adjust the rate for all desired Swashplate values.
Verify that the Swash mix is working properly and in the correct direction by
placing the flight mode switch in one of the active positions. Then, move the
programmed cyclic master channel aileron or elevator to its full travel and hold
this position. Now change the flight mode to a position that the swash mix is
inactive in. Note the movement of the slave channel on the left side of the monitor.
Programmable Mixes
Programmable mixes allow any channel to be mixed to any other channel or to
itself. With helicopters Programmable mixes typically operate scale functions like
retracts, lights, etc.
To Access Programmable Mixes (1 thru 6)
With the C Mix screen displayed, rotate the roller to highlight Cyclic > Thro, then
press the roller. Select programmable Mix, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 and press the roller.
The Mix screen appears.
To Select Master and Slave Channels
The Master channel is the controlling channel and is mixed to the slave channel.
The slave channel follows the master channel’s input based on the rate that is
programmed.
Rotate the roller to highlight the left INH then press to access the master channel.
Select the desired master channel. Press the roller to accept.
Highlight the right INH then press the roller to access the slave channel. Select
the desired slave channel. Press the roller to accept.
Assigning a Programmable Mix to a Flight Mode(s)
Highlight the desired box at the bottom of the screen. Press the roller to darken
the box activating programmable mix in that flight mode position. Note you can
highlight more than one flight mode position. If you highlight all boxes, the
programmable mix function is always n. If no boxes are highlighted, the function
is always off.
