Troubleshooting
The remote control does not function.
Make sure the iPod is updated with the latest
software. If not, update the iPod before using with
the unit.
The iPod cannot be charged.
Make sure the iPod is connected securely.
You can use the unit as a battery charger for iPod
only when the unit is on.
Internet Radio
You cannot connect the unit to the Internet.
(“Cannot connect to the radio station.” or “A
communication error occurred. Information
retrieval cancelled.” appears.)
Make sure that the wireless router/wireless LAN
access point is turned on.
The network settings on the unit may be incorrect.
Enter the Settings menu and select [Device
Information] to check the settings (page 48).
Place the unit and the wireless router/wireless LAN
access point close to each other.
If your contract with your Internet provider limits
Internet connection to one device at a time, this
device will not be able to access the Internet when
another device is already connected. Consult your
carrier or service provider.
The sound skips.
The bandwidth of your wireless LAN may be too
low. Place the unit and the wireless router/wireless
LAN access point close to each other, without any
obstacles between.
Home Network
The unit cannot connect to a network. (“Cannot
connect to the server.”, “A communication error
occurred.”, or “A communication error occurred.
Information retrieval cancelled.” appears.)
Make sure that the wireless router/wireless LAN
access point is turned on.
Make sure that the computer is turned on.
The network settings on the unit may be incorrect.
Enter the Settings menu and select [Device
Information] to check the settings (page 48).
The computer may be unstable. Restart it.
Confirm that the unit and the computer are
connected to the wireless router/wireless LAN access
point correctly.
Check the following conditions to confirm that the
unit and the computer are properly prepared:
The server has started.
This unit has been registered.
Place the unit and the wireless router/wireless LAN
access point close to each other.
If the ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) function
is active on the computer, this may prevent the unit
from connecting to the computer. You may need
to change the firewall settings to allow the unit
to connect. (For details on changing the firewall
settings, refer to the operating manual of your
computer).
If you reset the unit or performed a system recovery
on your computer, perform the network settings
again (page 18).
The computer does not appear in the server
selection display.
You may have turned on this unit before you turned
on the computer. Select [Update info] in the server
selection display to update the server list (page 36).
Make sure that the wireless router/wireless LAN
access point is turned on.
