2-13. Replacing the MB-953 Board
1.
Remove the right and left side panels. (Refer to
Section 1-5.)
2.
Remove the AT-148, IF-969 and VA-226 boards, the
DC-DC converter (RE-201 board), and the two shield
plates.

If the shield plate is caught on the board rail (lower) at
installing the shield plate, insert the shield plate while
lifting up.

Insert the shield plate with the notch foward as shown in
the figure.
Incorrect orientation may cause the unit to short out.
3.
Remove the DPR-261 board. (Refer to Section 2-1.)
4.
Disconnect the five flexible card wires from the
connectors CN1, CN2, CN3, CN15 and CN16, and
disconnect the six harnesses from the connectors CN4
(red), CN5 (yellow), CN6 (blue), CN14, CN17 and
CN18 of the MB-953 board.

Be careful not to bend the flexible card wires.
This shortens the wire life.
5.
Remove the four screws and two supports, and remove
the MB-953 board with the board rail (upper) attached.

Do not remove the two screws fixing the board rail
(upper) to the MB-953 board.
