Filling chamber
If necessary, remove excess fine ash [rough cleaning
sufficient].
Charred wood waste from the earlier combustion can
remain in the filling chamber and can be used to facilitate
the next heating process of the boiler.
Black gloss soot deposits on water-cooled steel walls
are quite normal [excessively thick deposits, however,
indicate too fine firewood or smouldering fire due to
frequent overheating/boiler shutdown].
