In the
PX Sensor Configurator
dialog box, select communication port and sensor type,
then select
Connect
.
6
At the top of the dialog box, select SR15 or SR70 Receiver unit.
7
In the trawl illustration, select the location of the sensor on the trawl.
8
Select the direction the sensor is going to point to, either to the vessel or to the trawl.
9
Choose the measurements you want the sensor to make and define the relevant
parameters. For more information about the different parameters, see
By default, PX MultiSensor mk2, PX Universal, and PX MultiCatch sensors can send
2 measurements. When interfacing a SR type receiver unit, a PX Family sensor can
send up to five measurements. If you wish to make more than two measurements with
your sensor, an additional license is required. Remote functions are not considered a
measurement.
10
Choose the communication channel.
This is specially important if you wish to use several sensors to operate on different
communication channels. This is also important to avoid interference if several vessels
equipped with identical catch monitoring systems are operating simultaneously in
the same area. For more details, see
Overview of sensors channels and frequencies,
11
Calibrate the sensor.
When the sensor is mounted on the trawl, you should enter the following values in the
Door Installation Offsets
: Roll 0, Pitch 0, Yaw 0.
12
Select
Program Sensor
.
The currently selected parameters are “sent” to the sensor.

The new sensor appears on the
Sensor List
page.
The
Sensor List
page presents a table with all the catch monitoring sensors that have been
added to the system. You can see if they are currently in use or disabled. You can also
see relevant information about the sensors, such as type, receiver in use, communication
channel, and where they are placed on the fishing gear.
