The Designer module will open up the screen divided in the same “active” areas you are
currently working with and allows you to set up only the current “active” view at a time.
Designer module familiarization
By default, the Designer module covers the entire screen. It includes all the elements you
may need in order to create or edit a view.
This screen capture shows a typical design situation, with several gauges placed on the
active area. The screen is divided in as many areas as your selected layout. The area with a
white background is the active view; the one you are creating or editing.
A
Designer Top bar
The top bar presents some buttons for key functions related to the Designer module,
such as adding or removing gauges. The top bar is located on the top of the Designer
module presentation and stretches from the far left to the far right side.
B
Active area
The active area corresponds to the active view you want to work with the Designer.
You can easily identify an active area by its white background and red thick border.
C
Non-active area
The Non-active area corresponds to the views you are not going to create or edit. You
can easily identify a non-active area by its grey background. Whatever changes or
gauges you add on a non-active area will not be shown on your current presentation.
