1.2. Quick Response— Supervisory
A SUPERVISORY condition is indicated when there is a malfunctioning device within the fire suppression system, such as
a sprinkler valve. It is important to respond immediately, because the system may be unable to respond to a fire.
What You do What happens
Look at the AUTOCALL TFX-500M/800M
control panels to see SUPERVISORY lights
and messages. Listen for SUPERVISORY
signals.
1 Yellow SUPERVISORY LED light.
2 Buzzer sounds a pulsing tone.
3 Display gives SUPERVISORY message.
Read the display to determine where the
supervisory condition originated.
Display shows zone and point identification messages. See Figure
above.
Find the location and cause of the
Supervisory condition. Follow your building
and company procedures.
Lights, buzzers, and displays continue.
Respond according to your facility’s
supervisory response procedure.
Lights, buzzers, and displays continue.
ACCEPT the supervisory events (See 1.4.,
page 7.)
This provides a list of devices that have been activated.
After cause has been found, response
made,and events accepted, SILENCE the

WARNING: Do not allow a fire control panel to remain in a Supervisory condition. The fire suppression system may
not respond properly to a fire alarm condition.
