NOTE: The last line of the display shows the absolute system address of the
DRILL
touch-button, followed by the number of outstanding events.
TEST—
Pressing
TEST
causes all the front panel LEDs and the internal buzzer to be
operated for a few seconds. If the system includes Remote Ops/Dis Panels, only the panel
having
TEST
operated is tested.
TEST
is always active, regardless of the position
of the keyswitch. Pressing
TEST
several times will cause the test to be carried out
repeatedly.
SILENCE—
Pressing
ALARM SILENCE
, while the keyswitch is in the Enable position,
silences signalling appliances and the internal buzzer. Press
RESET
to reset the
system.
Note:
If the Silence Inhibit opption has been enabled, activation of the
ALARM SILENCE
touch-button after an Alarm Condition will be ignored for the
time period that was programmed. After the inhibit time period has expired, the
Silence function will be restored and will activate when the
ALARM SILENCE
touch-button is pressed.
RESET—
Pressing
RESET
, while the keyswitch is in the Enable position, resets the
system following the occurrence of an alarm or other event. The system can only be reset
after the signalling devices have been silenced, by pressing
ALARM SILENCE
.
2.1.3. Data Entry Touch-buttons
YES/ENTER—
After you input data or numbers,
YES/ENTER
completes the entry and
sends it to the AUTOCALL TFX-500/800 control panel. Also used to provide a “Yes”
response to a question.
NO/DELETE—
After you input data or numbers,
NO/DELETE
deletes (erases) your last
entry, so you can correct mistakes. Also used to provide a “No”response to a question.

Scroll Down—
Used to scroll downward through a display, or log one entry at a time.
This touch-button will auto-repeat (operate continuously if held down).

Scroll Up—
Used to scroll upward through a display or, log one entry at a time. This
touch-button will auto-repeat.
QUIT—
Quits the current action and does not complete the command you were entering (or
displaying).
FAST ACCESS—
Used to access a system option quickly, without using the menus. After
pressing
FAST ACCESS
, enter a numeric code. The numeric code you enter
determines the option accessed.
Numbers— 0 TO 9—
Used to enter access codes, general data, etc.
