Processing rotary incising unit
In this screen the global Processing settings for the rotary incising unit are determined. The settings
made here are absolute values.
Centering axis:

Opening:
Opening during feeding when entering the raw material into the centering unit of the
rotary incising unit. Select the value as small as possible, but large enough, to be able to still insert
slightly bent raw materials properly into the centering unit.

Guide opening:
Opening while feeding during stripping a layer. Is selected slightly larger than
the outer diameter of the jacket, to make sure that the raw material is guided properly in the cen-
tering unit, but still can be unhindered be moved forth and back.

Contact opening:
Opening at the time the raw material is clamped by the centering unit during
incising. Select this value in a way that the material is clamped properly from the centering unit,
but does not leave marks on the jacket.
Rotary incising axis:

Opening:
Opening during feeding when inserting the raw material into the blade opening. Is
selected somewhat larger than the value of the centering unit.

Guide opening:
Opening during feeding the raw material.
■
Direction:
Defines the rotation direction of the rotary incising unit (CW/CCW). This mainly
depends on the nature of the shield (backing cables, braided type). For 95 %, CCW can be selec-
ted here.

Operation order:
Operation order when processing the individual layers (3-jacket, 2-shield, 1-die-
lectric).

3-1-2:
This is the safe method for blade
abrasion (mostly used). Here the shield
is only cut ones. First the shield is cut
and stripped. Then the additional two
layers.
