COOLING SYSTEM 6B-5

Installation

1) Install new electromagnetic gasket (10) and fix it with nuts

tightened at the specified tightening torque.

Tightening torque nuts of the electromagnetic gasket :
0.75 Kg-m (7.5 Nm)

2) Install end washer (11), cotter (12) and pulley (8).
3) Applying some pressure to the pulley measure height

(Y).Height must be in accordance with the specified value.

Height (Y) (block front to pulley front ):
88.9 ÷ 90.1 mm

4) Install hub (5) of fan, washer (6) and nut (7). Prevent pulley

from turning and apply to nut  the specified tightening torque
in two steps:

Tightening torque nut fixing hub of fan (threading
leftwards):
First step with dynamometric key : 4 Kg-m (40 Nm)
Second step: angular tightening 110°± 10°

NOTE:
The selfbraking nut fixing hub of fan must be replaced
each time it is removed. This nut threads leftwards.

5) With thickness gauge (A) measure distance between mobile

plate of hub and pulley. It must be within the specified value.

Play between mobile plate of hub and pulley:
0.25 ÷ 0.45 mm

6) Continue installation reverse removed procedures. Apply

tightening torques and specified adjustments as explained
under complementary tasks

7) Check correct running of assembly electromagnetic pulley.
