96) Attach tool (H) ref.494688-1 to the rear part of the main shaft
to guide the seal and avoid damaging the assembly.
97) Fit the casing, tightening its screws to the specified torque
and remove the guide tool (H).
Torque for 5th gear casing screws:
5 Kg-m (50 Nm)

98) Select 3rd gear tightening screw (104) and tighten until it
comes into contact with the selector shaft and then loosen
by one complete turn.
NOTE:
Before fitting the screw (104) apply recommended
sealant to its thread.

99) Join the gear box to the transfer box (see 7A-12).
100) Fit this assembly to the vehicle (see 7A-8).
94) Fit a new seal (102) to 5th gear casing so that the part
opposite to the closing lip lies flush with the projection (103),
using tool ref. 494688-2.
95) Apply recommended sealant to the join face between the
5th gear casing and the gear box.
