Wipers and Washers
Front Windscreen Wiper Controls
The wipers and washers will only operate when the
ignition switch is in position ON. Operate the lever to
select different wiping modes:
• Automatic wipe (1)
• Slow speed wipe (2)
• Fast speed wipe (3)
• Single wipe (4)
• Automatic wipe interval adjustment

Automatic Wipe
By pushing the lever up to the automatic wipe position
(1), the wipers will operate automatically. The interval
between the automatic wipes can be increased/decreased
via the switch (5). This interval will also change with the
vehicle speed. As the vehicle speed increases, the wiping
interval decreases. As the vehicle speed decreases, the
wiping interval increases.
Some models are equipped with a rain sensor fitted to the
interior rearview mirror base to detect varying amounts of
water on the outside of the windscreen. With automatic
wipe, the vehicle will adjust the wiping speed according to
the signals provided by rain sensor. Turn the switch (5)
to adjust the sensitivity of rain sensor. As the sensitivity
increases, the wiping interval decreases.
Note: Immediately operating the wiper one time can
be achieved by increasing the sensitivity of rain sensor.
If the rain sensor detects a continuous rainwater, the
