Battery Maintenance
DO NOT leave electric components switched
on when the car is not started, the battery
may become flat and you will not be able to
start the engine.
Open the engine compartment then you will see the
battery. The battery is designed to be maintenance free,
so topping-up is unnecessary.
Note:
When the vehicle will not be used for
an extended period (more than 1 month), it is
recommended to disconnect the battery negative
terminal clamping pile head.
Make sure that the
ignition switch has been turned off before connecting
or disconnecting the negative battery cable.
For
vehicles with Start-Stop intelligent fuel saving system,
following re-connection of the battery negative
terminal, the battery needs to be left for at least
4 hours.
Before this the automatic Start/Stop
functionality of the engine will be disabled.
Battery Replacement
The battery contains sulphuric acid, which is
corrosive.
The battery contains sulphuric acid, which is corrosive.
Please go to a MG Authorised Repairer to remove and
install the battery. It is recommended to fit a replacement
