E 4.4.1 Key Functions in Channel Status mode
Pressing and holding the SELECT button in the Channel Status mode gives
access to some extra options. The functions of the keys are labeled in a
column next to the buttons while holding SELECT .
Note:
To access the right set of key functions the Multi Instrument 1 showing
the Channel Status display must be highlighted with a white frame before
pressing and holding SELECT . Otherwise the key functions of one of the
other instruments will be displayed and active instead. To move the frame
to the Multi Instrument 1 press
SELECT repeatedly before holding it.
• AUD/HWS
This key allows toggling between the two modes AUD and HWS :
• The AUD mode shows the Audio Data Bit Activity Display of the recei-
ved audio data words in the selected digital input signal. If a bit has
a fixed value of 0 or 1 in several consecutive samples it will be shown
as inactive. After having pressed the button once it is relabeled
HWS .
• The HWS mode switches the display to Hardware Status showing
the physical aspects of the selected digital input signal.
• DCS/HEX
This key allows toggling between the two modes DCS and HEX :
• The DCS mode shows the channel data of the selected digital input
signal as plain text. After having pressed the button once it is relabeled
HEX .
• HEX switches the display to show the channel status bytes of the
selected digital input signal in Hex format.
• Cha (Channel)
The Cha (channel) key selects the physical input channel used for the
Channel Status display. All six input channels 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A
and 4B are accessible one by one pressing the channel key repeatedly.
