Performing the Initial Adjustment (Correcting for Misalignment in Bidirectional Printing More Precisely)
Perform the initial adjustment of this machine. This adjustment must be performed in the following cases:
 When using this machine for the first time
 When changing the media to use

When printing is not improved by performing simple correction for bidirectional printing (P. 102 "Correct-
ing for Misalignment in Bidirectional Printing")
1.
Print a test pattern.


Press several times to display the screen shown
on the left.

A test pattern is printed.
When printing ends, press .

Read the correction values from the test pattern.
Choose the value that produces the least misalignment of the 2 lines. When you cannot
choose between two numbers, select a value that is halfway between them.
