Pull the Head Shield to the front and remove it.

Head Shield

Be sure to remove and fi x the Ink Damper with the 

Head Board Cover fixed. It prevents the ink from 

dropping on the Head Board. 

If the ink drops on the Head Board, Head or Head 

Driving IC will be damaged.

Remove the Ink Damper with pulling the upper end of 

the Damper Shield when removing the Ink Damper.

Fix the Head Board Cover temporarily, and remove the 2 Ink 

Dampers from the Head that will be replaced.

Remove the Head Board Cover and disconnect the 2 fl exible 

cables from the Head.

Flexible Cable

Make sure that LED on the Carriage Board is 

turned off when disconnecting the fl exible cables.

Remove the spring, and remove the 3 screws fi xing the Head.

And then, pull the Head forward and pull it up to remove it.
