1
The printer is not
installed in an
appropriate location
Install in a location
that is level and stable
offering good
operating conditions
Never install the printer in a location where it is tilted or
where it may wobble or experience vibration.
2
The media is not set
up correctly
Load and set up the
media correctly at the
correct position
User's Manual
Feed is not smooth when media is tilted or tensioned
unevenly on the left and right. Reload and set up the
media correctly.
3
Warped media (rigid
media)
Print with uni-direction
or, change the media
Ink landing position is different from at going and returning
when the media is warped. Print with uni-direction, or
change the media when the media is warped more than
0.5mm.
4
Wrong value of the
media thickness (rigid
media)
Re-measure and re-
enter the value of the
media thickness
Ink does not land on the proper position when the right
media thickness is not entered, because the clearance
between the media and head becomes too big.
5
Static electricity of the
media
Remove the static
electricity with
utralization apparatus
If the media has static electricity, ink does not land on a
proper position and it causes uneven printing.
6
Bi-directional
adjustment is not
correct
Correct setting for
Bidirectional Printing
User's Manual
7
FEED CALIBRATION
is not correct
Apply Calibration
User's Manual
If the calibration is not correct, white fine lines caused by
gaps or dark lines caused by overlaps appear.
8
Scanning distance of
the Head Carriage
Set the [FULL WIDTH
S] to [FULL]
User's Manual
Set [FULL WIDTH S] to [FULL] to uniform the heating time
on each pass. This may improve printing quality.
9
[PERIODIC CL.]
setting
Set [PERIODIC CL.] to
[NONE] or [Page]
User's Manual
When this is set to [5 min] to [990 min], self cleaning is
performed while a printing is paused. It may cause uneven
printing at the part before and after cleaning.
10 Head Rank is not
correct
Set Head Rank
[3-1 HEAD
REPLACEMENT]
Head Rank setting affects the amount of the fired Ink. If it
is not set properly, the ink dots are not fired in appropriate
sizes.
11 Head is not adjusted
Head Alignment
[4-4 HEAD
ALIGNMENT]
Check whether each [BIAS/VERTICAL], [HORIZONTAL]
and [BI-DIR.DEFAULT] settings are correct.
12 Ink mist on UV lamp
Manual Cleaning
User's Manual

the ink enough.
13 Broken UV lamp
UV lamp Replacement [3-14 UV LAMP
REPLACEMENT]
14 Broken UV lamp motor UV lamp motor
Replacement
[3-15 UV LAMP
