Put the Encoder Scale in between the Encoder Plate and the

Guide Rail.

Do not loosen or tighten the screws fi xing the En-

coder Plate.

Guide Rail

Encoder Plate

Encoder Scale

Move the Head Carriage in entire width of the machine.

Make sure that the Encoder Scale doesn't make contact with

the Encoder Module and also Encoder Scale is inside the slit

of the Encoder Module.

Perform the following setting.

[4-6 LINEAR ENCODER SETUP].

Encoder Scale

Plate

Screw

Fix the right end with the Plate and hook up the Spring on the

left end.

Make sure that the Encoder Scale fi ts in place.

Remove the Encoder Scale by removing the Plate fi xing the

Encoder Scale at its right end and the Spring on its left end.

Remove the Spring Plate from the Encoder Scale and fi x it to

the Encoder Scale where there is no black dot written on it.

Make sure not make scratches or put grease on

the Encoder Scale when fi xing it.

Do not touch the surface of the Encoder Scale.
