Always use the UV protection sheet
when the ink line is exposed to the light* during the replacement,
or ink will harden and clog in the ink line. And it results in a serious infl uence to a machine.
* The light means the light which includes the ultraviolet light. The light of fl uorescent has the ultraviolet light. Therefore,
consider that most of the light includes the ultraviolet light.
Turn off the sub power SW, main power SW, and unplug the power cable of the Printer and

AC INLET for the Printer Unit
Static electricity can harm some electronic devices. To prevent static damage, discharge static
electricity from your body before you touch any of electronic devices. You can do so by touching
an unpainted metal surface on the chassis.
You can also take the following steps to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD):
z
When unpacking a static-sensitive device from its shipping carton, do not remove the
device from the antistatic packing material until you are ready to install the device to the
machine. Just before unwrapping the antistatic packaging, be sure to discharge static
electricity from your body.
z
When transporting a sensitive device, fi rst place it in an antistatic container or packaging.
z
Handle all sensitive devices in a static-safe area. If possible, use antistatic fl oor pads and
workbench pads.
Wear protective goggles when turning on the UV Lamp without covers and when replacing the
heads.
UV protection sheet
Use rubber gloves to prevent direct contact with the skin.
Contact with the ink may cause skin irritation.
Use deodorizing mask with activated carbon when necessary.
When you carry the parts which are stained with ink such as head or damper, put these parts into
a bag (for example aluminum bag of ECO-UV INK) or container that has a sealing capability.
Otherwise, you might feel sick because of the evaporated ECO-UV INK.
