6. Setting up
6.1. Operating location
⇒
Minimum requirements for the operating location of the kiln:
-
Sufficient distance of at least 50 cm from walls, other plant and machinery and traffic routes
-
Floor, ceiling insulation, walls, partitions, cladding etc. must be made of flame-retardant material.

Sufficient distance from flammable objects
-
Sufficient distance from sprinkler systems
-
Sufficient distance from machines or systems with strong EMC radiation (impairment of the control
system)
⇒ The kiln:
-
may only be set up in a well-ventilated room.
-
must not be operated in rooms with flammable material.
-
must be set up on a non-flammable surface.
-
must not be installed in garages, summer houses, covered terraces or balconies or boiler rooms.
⇒
The exhaust air from the kiln should be discharged from the operating location through a suitable exhaust air
duct.
⇒
Any wall duct for the exhaust air must be made of heat-resistant material. A ventilation technician or chimney
sweep should be contacted for the design of the exhaust piping.

The kiln may only be installed in closed rooms that meet the following conditions:

not potentially explosive areas
-
not fire hazard areas
-
no condensation possible

The following requirements for the installation area must be observed:

The load-bearing capacity of the surface must be at least 25 N/mm² (corresponds to a concrete strength
class of at least B25).

The surface must be flat (+/- 3 mm).
-
The surface must be vibration-free and suitable for the static and dynamic loads on the kiln.
⇒ Avoid environmental influences such as loud noise, water or moisture, strong contamination (especially dust),
acids, alkalis, etc.
⇒ Sufficient lighting (300 to 500 lux) in accordance with ASR 7/3 (German Workplace Regulations or similar
national regulation) must be ensured.
⇒ The valid national regulations of the country of use must be observed.
