View port
DANGER
Risk of serious personal injuries, in particular to the eyes, when touching or approaching the
view port, by burning, scalding or the effects of infrared radiation.
⇒
When looking at the ware, keep your face or eyes at least 40 cm away from the view
port!
⇒
Do not touch the kiln casing.
⇒
Only look through the view port for a short time.
⇒
Use suitable safety sight glasses that are suitable for infrared radiation. Welding goggles
or similar should not be used (only protection against UV radiation)!
⇒
Do not reach into the view port!
⇒
Do not insert any objects into the view port.
⇒
Only allow authorised and trained personnel to use the view port when the kiln is hot.
DANGER
Serious personal injuries from burning or scalding, especially of the eyes, due to the draught
effect:
•
when opening the view port and an air flap at the same time.
⇒
Only open the view port only when no air flaps are open.
•
when the supply and exhaust air flaps are open.
⇒
Keep the view port closed when the supply and exhaust air flaps are open or close
the supply and exhaust air flaps if you want to open the inspection hole.
•
when the cooling fan is active

Switch off the cooling fan if you want to open the view port.
The kiln can optionally be equipped with a view port in the kiln door. A ceramic plug (included in the scope of delivery)
closes the view port when not in use. The view port must always be kept closed when it is not in use.
