You can transfer transducer factors to the R&S FSH with the R&S FSH4View software
package. In order to activate the measurement with the isotropic antenna, you have to
select a transducer factor file with the extension *.isotrd. For more information see

Test setup
The test setup for cable measurements consists of the R&S FSH and the isotropic
antenna R&S TS-EMF. All necessary cables are already connected to the antenna.

Connect the RF cable with the N coaxial connector to the RF input (port 1).

Connect the control cable (for switching between the x-, y- and z-axis) 9-pin D-Sub
connector to the power sensor interface using the adapter cable that comes with
the antenna.

Press the MEAS key.

Press the "Meas Mode" softkey.

Select the "Isotropic Antenna" menu item.
The R&S FSH includes the antenna in all relevant measurements.
Before displaying final measurement results, the R&S FSH performs a
measurement for each of the three antenna axis. The update rate of the trace
decreases accordingly.
Automatic antenna detection
If you connect an isotropic antenna made by Rohde & Schwarz, the R&S FSH
automatically detects and includes the antenna in measurements.
Using transducer factors
If you are using an isotropic antenna, you can select a transducer factor.

Press the AMPT key.

Press the "Transducer" softkey
The R&S FSH opens a dialog box to select the transducer factor.

Select the "Primary Transducer" menu item.
Transducer files
Transducer files for isotropic antennas have the extension *.isotrd. When you select a
transducer factor with that file extension, the R&S FSH will automatically activate the
isotropic antenna measurement.

Select the transducer factor you need with the extension *.isotrd.

Confirm the selection with the "Select" softkey.
