R&S FSH
Digital Modulation Analyzer
Configuring Measurements in Receiver Mode
Operating Manual 1309.6275.12 - 14

Both result displays are integrated into the digital modulation options, so you do not
have to switch modes if you want to have a quick glance at the spectrum. For a
detailed analysis of the signal, however, you should still use the spectrum analyzer
operating mode.
The screen layout and contents of the spectrum result displays are the same as those
of the spectrum analyzer mode.
The Spectrum Overview
The spectrum overview provides an overview of the spectrum with limited functionality.
The spectrum overview is meant for
fast measurements that give you a
rough idea about the signal's
frequency and level characteristics. To
maintain high measurement speed, the
R&S FSH analyzes one FFT and
shows the results of the signal and its
surrounding frequencies. Thus, you
should use this result display for
situations when measurement speed is
an issue, not accuracy.
While using the spectrum overview, you can only set the resolution bandwidth and the
span.
M
Press the "Result Display" softkey.
M
Select the "Spectrum Overview" menu item.
The Isotropic Antenna Result Display
The isotropic antenna result display also provides an overview of the spectrum.
The results of measurements with an
isotropic antenna are based on data
from the three axes of the antenna.
When performing measurements with
an isotropic antenna, the R&S FSH
performs a measurement on each of
the three antenna axes and then
averages the results to draw the trace.
Measurement speed will go down
because of the multiple
measurements.
You can see the results for each antenna axis (x, y and z) and for the channels that are
part of the signal in a table above the diagram area.
M
Press the "Result Display" softkey.
M
Select the "Isotropic Antenna" menu item.
