16.3 MODEL TYPE - MODEL TYPE SELECT
MODEL TYPE HELI
This is the menu where you select the model type, wing type
and tail type for fixed-wing model aircraft, and the type of
swashplate mixing for model helicopters. The software then
suggests the appropriate mixer functions in accordance with
the selected model type. This
reduces the screen display to
the minimum required, and
helps to avoid confusion.
The model type must always be
selected before you adjust any
model settings, because a
change of model type always
erases all previously stored
values.
Selecting:
It is possible to change the model type both for a new model
memory and an existing model memory.
When the model type is changed, ALL set-up values are reset
to the defaults, with the exception of model name, modulation
and frequency channel, i.e. the previous settings are erased!
Start by selecting the model type: power model, helicopter, gli-
der or electric glider
Next select the wing type by entering the number of wing ser-
vos, then select the tail type.
Note:
When selecting these points please note that it is impossible
to change from a normal tail to AILVATOR without resetting the
data. If you need to do this, set up a programmable mixer for
the second elevator.
A separate select process is provided for flying wing models or
deltas on page 2/2, in which you can also select the rudder
type.
For model helicopters the selected model type is based on the
number and arrangement of the swashplate servos; this defi-
nes the selection of mixers offered by the software.
