LCD backlight power-off time
Pre-set time after which the LCD screen
backlighting is automatically switched
off. In actual day-to-day use you should
always select a short power-off delay in
order to obtain maximum possible
transmitter operating time. Pressing the
touch-screen automatically switches
the backlighting on again.
Background colour
Pressing the red, green, blue or
brown buttons changes the back-
ground to the corresponding colour.
Calibrating the touch-screen
This function adjusts the position of the
touch-screen function.
• Press the
“Cal.”
button; the calibration dis-
play appears:
• Use the stylus (combination tool) to press
exactly on the centre of the cross-hairs
for about two seconds.
• When the transmitter has detected the
position, the cross-hairs image jumps to
the top left point, then bottom left, bottom
right and finally top right. Repeat the pro-
cedure at each point.
• After the last point the cross-hairs image
disappears from the screen.
Press anywhere on the screen to conclude
the calibration process; you are then returned
to the Set-up menu.
Transmitter power-off time
Pre-set time after which the transmitter is
automatically switched off after the last
movement of a control function. The soft-
ware monitors the movements of the
transmitter controls, and if no movement
greater than about 2 - 3% of total control
travel is detected, the transmitter switches
itself off after the pre-set time has elapsed.
This feature is designed to prevent the
transmitter battery being discharged to a
dangerous level if you forget to switch the
transmitter off.
NOTE:
For Trainer mode operations please ensure
that the Teacher occasionally operates a
function on his transmitter, otherwise there
is a risk that the automatic transmitter
power-off will be triggered during protrac-
ted training sessions if no corrections are
made at the Teacher transmitter for a long
period.
Under certain circumstances it may be
better to disable the automatic transmitter
power-off feature for such operations (dis-
play: “always on”).
