waveform (
Arb) mode (if DG4000 is not currently in the arbitrary
waveform mode) and read the waveform displayed on the screen (when
DataSel
is set to "Screen") or stored in the internal memory (when
DataSel
is set to "Ram") of oscilloscope 1 to its internal volatile memory.
Note: When DataSel is set to "Ram", DataPos becomes available. At
this point, you can press
DataPos to select "Head", "TrigPos" or "Tail" to
set the position for reading the data in the internal memory of the
oscilloscope.
―
Head: read from the start position of the data in the internal memory
of the oscilloscope.
―
TrigPos: read from the trigger position of the data in the internal
memory of the oscilloscope.
―
Tail: read from the end position of the data in the internal memory of
the oscilloscope.
In addition, while reading the waveform of the oscilloscope, to protect
the circuit under test, the output of DG4000 will be turned off
automatically. Turn on the channel output of DG4000 to output the
waveform displayed on the screen or stored in the internal memory of
oscilloscope 1 when you are sure that the current output will not damage
the device under test.
4.
Connect the output terminal of DG4000 with the input terminal of oscilloscope
2 using a BNC cable. Turn on the channel output of DG4000 to output the
waveform displayed on the screen or stored in the internal memory of
oscilloscope 1. Set oscilloscope 2 and you can view the waveform displayed on
the screen or stored in the internal memory of oscilloscope 1 via oscilloscope
2.
Tip: The waveform data sampled by the oscilloscope is stored circularly, thus
the waveform data read by DG4000 is also finite and exists discontinuousness
in phase. We recommend that you display the desired segment of the signal
under test on the oscilloscope screen stably; then, use DG4000 to read the
data and output the data through burst (
Burst) mode.
