10. Programming the Drive Control
a) Programming of Full Throttle and Neutral Positions
The speed controller can be set to automatic or manual setting by the included programming card. Proceed as follows:
• Switch off the speed controller („OFF“).
• Pull the speed controller plug from the receiver.
Remember the correct orientation and position of the plug in the receiver!
• Connect the speed controller plug to the programming card. Observe the right polarity of the plug: (black =
minus /-).
• Connect the speed controller to the driving battery and switch on the speed controller („ON“).
The LEDs on the programming card are lit one after another and the motor emits a tone signal („Do-Re-Mi“).
Once all the data are read the LEDs light according to the existing programming and the motor emits 5 beeps.
• Using the programming card, you will now be able to switch between „neutral auto“ and „manual“:
„Neutral Auto“:
In the „Neutral Auto“ position, the current position of the throttle/brake lever on the remote control
is taken as the neutral setting when the control unit is switched on.
„Manual“:
In the „Manual“ setting you can programme the speed controller’s neutral and full acceleration setting for
forwards and reverse (when it is connected to the receiver) later when the speed controller is switched on for the first
time.
• After choosing „neutral auto“ or „manual“, press the „Enter“ button. The settings made are transferred to the speed
controller and stored. The motor emits 5 beeps.
• Switch off the speed controller („OFF“).
• Disconnect the driving battery from the speed controller.
• Remove the control unit from the programming card.
• Connect the speed controller to the receiver again.
Ensure correct connection, since the speed controller will not work otherwise.
• Switch on your transmitter (Check battery state!). Put the trim controls in centre position. Put the gas/braking lever in
neutral position and let go of it.
• Switch off the speed controller („OFF“), if you haven’t done it yet already.
