Selects either single-shot or continuous (free-running) measurement cycles. In the
course of a measurement cycle, a sensor passes through the IDLE, INITIATED,
WAIT_FOR_TRG and MEASURING states before it is again set to the IDLE (

OFF

) or the INITIATED (

INIT:CONT ON)

state. The settings are not changed when

control is switched from manual to remote.

INIT:CONT ON

is switched back to manual control.
