Audio Routing
INTRODUCTION
Audio Routing
is one of the few advanced features in neo:X+.
There are two modes, one is
Source Mode
, and the other is
Sink Mode
.
Source Mode
is the legacy routing where the audio outputs 1 to 8 are locked to HDMI inputs 1 to 8
respectively, with audio outputs 9 and 10 linked to audio inputs 9 and 10.
Sink Mode
allows audio routing to any of the audio output zones, enabling the audio to be controlled
completely separately from the video. The system has an audio locking feature to enable continuous
audio to an output zone regardless of switching video sources.
Note: Audio will not be manipulated at this stage, however if audio output are connected to stereo/phono
jacks, the video matrix will downmix the audio automatically. The process will downmix multichannel
audio (Dolby 5.1, not DTS) to stereo (2 ch).
Note: Some changes especially change between Optical/HDMI ARC require to reboot neo:X+ in order
for the changes to take effect.
