General Feature Settings
– These settings change the general
parameters of the Reader. Examples include beeper adjust-
ments such as volume and duration, read verification set-
tings, image capture, image transfer, and image compression.
If You Make a Mistake
If you change the settings or make a mistake and want to return to
your Reader’s original settings, go to the Advanced Pull-down Menu.
Select the Customer Defaults\Reset to Customer Defaults. If your
Reader was preconfigured for a particular environment, this selection
will return all preconfigured settings. If your Reader was not precon-
figured specifically for your environment, Reset to Customer
Defaults will return the Reader to the same settings as the PSC
defaults.
A complete listing of the factory default settings for the Reader Con-
figuration Setup is provided in
Appendix A.
If your Reader was preconfigured and you don’t have a record of
your Reader’s original configuration, you can access the information
using the OSPV reset to Customer Defaults or you can contact PSC
Technical support listed on the back cover for assistance. Please be
prepared to provide information about the company, location, host
terminal system, and the serial number of the Reader.
The serial number is located on the label on the bottom of the handle
as shown in the illustration below.
