UPC-A and UPC-E
[Default = enabled] (reference Figure 23). UPC-A and
UPC-E are transmitted when each are enabled (see
Figure 23).
Add-on (Supplements
)
Reporting
[Default = disabled]. Add-
on reporting may be enabled or disabled for UPC-A and

symbol with a supplement is captured, the supplement
will not be transmitted. Add-on Reporting may be set
independently for UPC-A and UPC-E.
Send Check Characters
[Default = enabled]. This option
allows the transmission of data with or without sending
a check character. Transmission of UPC-A and UPC-E
Check Characters may be enabled/disabled indepen-
dently.
Short Quiet Zones
[Default = enabled]. When enabled, this
feature allows the Reader to require less than the mini-
mal quiet zones at each end of the bar code. Transmission
of the UPC-A and UPC-E Short Quiet Zones may be
enabled/disabled independently.

bols may be optionally translated to UPC-A format.
