[Default = enabled for I 2/5]. Transmission of I 2/5 sym-
bols may be enabled or disabled (see Figure 24).
Check Character Required [Default = disabled]. If config-
ured to be required, symbols without a check character
are ignored (not transmitted). If configured to not be
required, symbols with or without a check character are
transmitted.
Send Check Characters [Default = enabled]. The transmis-
sion of the check character may be enabled or disabled.
Minimum Length (2 to max setting)
[Default = 14]. This option
sets the minimum number of characters in the decoded
symbol. Range is from 2 to maximum length setting.
Maximum Length (min setting to 98) [Default = 98]. Sets the
maximum number of characters in the decoded symbol.

mation.

NOTE
The default minimum length for this setting (14) is high
because of data security issues. It is recommended that
it only be used without a check character in fixed length
applications. All entered values must be an even number
for I 2/5.
