Imager 8000
2D Handheld Reader
AutoSense Read Timeout
(0 to 99)
[Default = 1]. When the
Reader has been idle, the AutoSense feature can be set to
automatically time out after a predetermined period.
This timeout is unique to the AutoSense feature and is
not associated with the general read timeout feature. The
selectable range for the timeout is 0 to 99 seconds.
AutoSense Sensitivity
(1 to 9)
[Default = 2]. This option selects
how aggressive the software will be in attempting to see
the aiming LEDs on a given image. Depending upon
ambient light conditions and wear/dirt on retro-reflec-
tive surfaces, the environmental conditions may occa-
sionally require adjustment other than the default value.
The selectable range for this setting is 1-9. The higher this
number is set, the more aggressive the software.
AutoSense Detect Count (1 to 8)
[Default = 2]. This option sets
the redundancy required to detect which of two states
the AutoSense-enabled Reader is in: idle or active. If
Detect Count is set at one (1), only one captured image
will be required to make a necessary switch between
states (idle to the active state). The higher the AutoSense
Detect Count setting, the more robust the detection. The
range for this setting is from 1-8.
