GEARSHIFT
PREPARATION WORK
Before you start the shifting settings, check the following things:
1. Check if the shift cables or cable sleeves are just dirty.
2. The rear wheel must be fitted tightly and must not have any play.
3. The gearshift must not be bent. For this, look at the two shifting rollers from behind.
They must be precisely on top of each other, so that the chain from the tensioning roller
to the guiding roller runs precisely straight.
SET THE PULL TENSION
When the chain gearshift is set incorrectly, it is often enough to only adjust the pull tension
at the left or right shifting grip:
1. Slightly tighten the screw
1
(fig. BT).
2. Check that the gears can be shifted cleanly. If this is
not the case, tighten the screw further. If necessary,
also turn into the opposite direction.
If the chain gearshift cannot be adjusted with the pull ten-
sion, the gearshift must be readjusted.
SET THE SHIFTING GEAR
1. Switch the chain onto the largest chain ring and the smallest
sprocket of the rear derailleur.
2. Now turn the setting screw H
3
(fig. BU) until the guide roller
4
is placed precisely below the smallest pinion.
3. Switch the chain onto the smallest chain ring and the largest
sprocket of the derailleur.
4. Again, the guide roller must be placed precisely below the
pinion. If necessary, correct this with the setting screw L
2
(fig. BU). Ensure that the chain never touches the spokes.
5. Adjust the pull tension with the setting screw
1
(fig. BU). The
chain must switch smoothly in both directions.
6. Use the setting screw B
1
(fig. BU) to set the looping around
the pinion. On the larger pinion, the distance between the

the rear derailleur. The rear derailleur may get into the spokes if set incorrectly. Danger
