DRIVE SYSTEM
OPERATING THE DRIVE SYSTEM
The drive system supports you when pedalling with addition-
al motor power up to a speed of 25 km/h. You can freely
choose between 5 speed levels (fig AR):
1. Select the desired speed level (fig. AR) before or during the
ride with the plus
2
or minus buttons
6
(fig. AQ).
If you stop pedalling during the ride, the motor will stop auto-
matically after a brief delay. You can use the E-bike like a
normal bicycle when the drive system is off.
DRIVING BEHAVIOUR WITH MOTOR SUPPORT
The driving behaviour of the E-Bike may differ considerably from riding a bicycle when cycling
with active motor support.
Therefore, adjust the support level of your motor to the external environment (e.g. the track
routing, traffic density, properties of the ground), speed, and your own skills. E.g. always use
a low or no support level at all in narrow bends or at low speeds.
PUSHING AID
Keep the plus button
2
(fig. AQ) pushed to accelerate the E-bike up to the speed of 6 km/h
without any pedal movement. If you release the button prematurely without moving the ped-
als, the motor will stop automatically.
USB CHARGING SOCKET
-
In E-Bikes with an LED-control display and a USB charging socket, you can operate or charge
most devices that can be supplied with power by USB (such as Smartphones) on the right
WARNING
• Do not use the USB charging socket when it is wet, in rain or snow, since this may cause
damage to the connected device or the E-Bike. The USB connection must then be com-
pletely closed with the protective cap. Danger of damage!
• Always read the operating instructions of the device you want to connect to the USB
charging socket. This prevents wrong operation (e.g. when connecting), which may cause
damage as well.
• Only use standard-compatible USB-cables and cable/adapter combinations, since
the connected device or the USB charging socket may otherwise be damaged.
And it may also be impossible to plug in the USB cable then. Danger of damage!
• Do not apply any excessive force to the USB plug or when removing the USB cable.
When plugging in, check that the USB plug points in the proper direction and is not
inserted in the wrong direction or canted. Ensure that it is plugged in all the way.
Danger of damage!
• Do not push any foreign bodies into the USB charging socket. Danger of damage!
