DRIVE SYSTEM
Depending on model and equipment version, your E-Bike can be equipped with different
drive components. The following versions are possible:
MOTOR
- AEG EasyDrive (front)
- AEG EasyDrive (rear), AEG Ea (rear)
- AEG ComfortDrive /C, AEG EcoDrive /C, AEG SportDrive (midengine)
- BLAUPUNKT front wheel motor
- BLAUPUNKT midengine
- BLAUPUNKT rear wheel motor
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
(also see chapter Technical data and component designation|Scope of delivery)
- SideClick rechargeable battery - Luggage rack rechargeable battery
- Frame rechargeable battery - Downtube rechargeable battery
CONTROL DISPLAY
- LED control display (with USB/Bluetooth function or without USB-/Bluetooth function)
- LCD multifunction display (with Bluetooth function or without Bluetooth function)
- Mini-LED display
- EasyControl display
- LCD control display
• Become familiar with the operation and the special riding behaviour of the E-bike away
from road traffic first. Specifically practice starting, braking and taking narrow bends.
Start with a low support level here. Danger of accident!
• Do not drive into a narrow curve or at low speeds with a high support level. Choose a
lower support level instead. Danger of accident!
• The E-bike has a longer braking distance than a bicycle because of its higher dead
weight. Danger of accident!
• The motor will be stopped automatically once you push one of the brake levers.
This prevents undesired drive in dangerous situations. (Only for models with brake in-
terruption switch!)
• If you stop pedalling during a ride or if you brake using the back-pedalling brake, the
motor will automatically stop with a brief delay.
• The E-bike is not suitable for climbs over several kilometres. The motor may overheat
and suffer damage. If you can only ride at walking speed in spite of having set the
max. speed level, switch off the drive system.
• When the rechargeable battery is nearly flat, the motor may no longer be running
smoothly and may start to "stutter". In this case, switch off the drive system to prevent
damage.
