11 Bypass switcher control
It is recommended that the TX 410 is connected to an external bypass
switcher so that some sources have alternative routes to air that bypass
the TX 410.
The bypass switcher control buttons are located in the top left of the
panel.
It should be noted that due to the limited space available on the TX 410
panel, the function of these buttons can be set, at the time of
installation, for bypass, VTR or multi-channel control.
If a bypass switcher is connected to the bypass switcher control panel,
then during normal use the router input fed with the TX 410
programme output should be selected. Pressing one of the other
buttons selects an alternative source on the bypass switcher and thus
the TX 410 is no longer on-air.
All inputs to the bypass switcher should be married video/audio.
When the TX 410 output is not selected on the bypass switcher, any
transitions made by the TX 410 will not affect the output of the bypass
switcher.
