Troubleshooting

10.1 

Error during a measurement

The following problems may occur during a measurement: 
•  an error during data transfer, 
•  a processor in the measuring system failed or 
•  there was an error during program execution. 
Turn the device off and on. 
If necessary, restart the computer.

Notice

Damaging/destroying the device

If the power supply of the MSM+ HB is disconnected and connected again, the device read-
justs itself. This may cause the laser to destroy the device.

X 

Always switch off the laser before restarting the MSM+ HB.

10.2 

No measurement signal at the MSM+ HB

If, apart from a noise level - with the MSM+ HB typically approx. 270 - 300 cts. - no measurement signal can 
be detected, check the device position. It may be helpful to use the alignment objective.
In addition to incorrect positioning, an attenuation that is selected too high can also lead to such a case.
