PDC 2000/3000 Repair Manual

Parts Replacement

Shutter Board Removal

1. Remove the top cover.

2. Remove the edit board and disconnect its cable from the shutter board (Figure 5-14).

3. Disconnect the autofocus to shutter board cable from the shutter board connector.

4. Disconnect the LCD to shutter board cable from the shutter board connector.

5. Remove one Phillips flat-head screw and two Phillips pan-head screws that secure the shutter

board to the top cover.

6. Lift the shutter board with attached shutter button from the top cover.

Shutter Board Installation

To install the shutter board, reverse the shutter board removal procedure.

Note: When replacing the shutter board make sure:

• mounting hole where the Phillips flat-head screw goes is counter sunk.
• piece of thin foam is placed between the focus motor board and the flex.
