To install the board
1. Turn off the power to your computer.
Leave the computer plugged into a grounded power
outlet, so the power cord can serve as a ground for
the computer.
2. Remove the case cover according to the computer
manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Locate the slot you selected for the Md5/PCI board.
The slots are usually labeled on the motherboard, but
you may have to refer to your system documentation
for a slot ID chart.
4. Remove the backplate from a slot. Refer to your Sun
documentation for more information.
If you do not turn off the computer, you could get an
electric shock and cause damage to your computer’s
components and the board.
