Chapter 3

• During times that you are using the monitor frequently, 

make sure you set the Screen Saver field to Off. This 
setting ensures that the monitor will not invoke DPMS, 
which means that you will not have to wait for the moni-
tor to stabilize when you begin to use it again. 

• Set the Screen Saver field to On when you will be away 

from the computer for several hours. With the screen 
saver running, your system will conserve energy, and 
the monitor’s CRT will last longer.
