Running the setld program
Digital provides the
setld
program to load, list, and
uninstall kits on your Digital UNIX system. You must run
setld
to load the kit. You can also run
setld
later to
cleanly remove the kit from your system. Use the
-l
option to indicate to
setld
where it can find the kit.
To run the setld program
To run
setld
, type:
# setld -l /mnt
The
setld
program loads the kit and invokes
set_dome_monitor
, which allows you to describe the
type of monitor you intend to connect to each DOME
board. When you enter the type of monitor you are
using, the
setld
program automatically configures
your DOME display driver to support that monitor. It
records this information in your driver configuration file,
/usr/opt/DOM103/sysconfigtab
.
Using set_dome_monitor
The
set_dome_monitor
script runs automatically from
the
setld
program. It prompts you for this information:
• Type of board (for example, “
md5pci
”)
• Type of monitor (for example, “
2560 x 2048 at
72 Hz Gray
”)
• Width of monitor
• Height of monitor
You can later change this configuration information by
running
set_dome_monitor
again. See “Configuring the
Display Monitor” on page 124 for more information.
