Zeta
Measurement
Accumulation Times
The number of times the Zeta potential is measured at
a particular position. The default value is 10 for flow
cell and flat surface cell, and 20 for the high
concentration cell. You may edit the values if desired.
Cell Position
Displays the dialog so you can set the position of the
cell for the measurement.
The setting varies, depending on the cell that is used.
Typical settings are:
Flow cells and disposable cells
: 5 points (0.7, 0.35,
0.0, -0.35, -0.7)
High concentration and low conductivity cells
: 1
point (0)
Flat surface cel
l: 7 points (0.8, 0.6, 0.3, 0.0, -0.3,
-0.6, -0.8)
The zeta potential is measured up to five different
positions to eliminate the effects of Brownian motion
and electroosmosis. The number of positions can vary
from -1 to +1. The points can be in ascending or
descending order.

Applied Voltage
Select how you want the applied voltage to be set.
When you select
Fixed
, a field is inserted so you can
enter the DC voltage. Select
Auto
if you aren’t sure
what to use.
Constant Current
(mA)
The applied voltage is automatically adjusted to the
value entered here. Maximum value is 51 mA.
